Canada 150 Contest Rules
HOW TO ENTER
No purchase is necessary to enter the #Capture150 Contest. To participate in the Contest, you must have an Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter account. During the Contest Period, you will need to share a selfie of you with friends or family, to help with building a massive selfie collage, using one or more of the four (4) methods of entry:
(1) Through Instagram by posting a selfie image with the hashtag #Capture150
(2) Through Facebook by posting a selfie image with the hashtag #Capture150 on a SaskTel ‘Canada 150’ post
(3) By following the SaskTel Facebook page and posting a selfie image with the hashtag #Capture150
(4) Through Twitter by tweeting a selfie image with the hashtag #Capture150
For SaskTel to receive your submission, your Instagram account must allow public viewing of photos.
On Facebook, your #Capture150 photo(s) must be available for public viewing (though your account can remain private) so SaskTel can receive your submission.
On Twitter, your account must be public so SaskTel can contact you if you’ve been selected as a winner. Your submission must also include the hashtag #Capture150
This Contest runs from 7:00 a.m. on June 21, 2017 to 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time on August 4, 2017.
There’s no limit to entries—you can enter multiple photo submissions. However, only one (1) photo entry per day, per person, will be counted as an official entry, regardless of how you submit your entries.
The contest is restricted to Saskatchewan residents only.
The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
An entry that contains subject matter that, in the opinion of SaskTel may violate community standards or is otherwise of questionable taste will be considered void. SaskTel does not accept entries for this Contest by any other means. In the event of a dispute, the person who is the holder of the Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter account as specified on their entries will be deemed to be the entrant.
By entering the Contest, you state that you have obtained consent (if your entry contains a person) from everyone in the photo. If your photo contains a minor (under the age of 18) parental or legal guardian consent is required.
There will be multiple prizes awarded throughout the Contest period. Please visit www.capture150.com for the latest prize to be drawn, draw dates and prize details.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded, are not transferable and cannot be exchanged with SaskTel for cash. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into entrants, except with the winning entrants. SaskTel reserves the right to substitute a prize or any portion of a prize which is, in its sole opinion, a prize of equivalent value. SaskTel may terminate or withdraw this Contest at any time for any or no reason. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received at the time of each draw in the Contest. Any prize that is a wireless device does not include activation and all activations of wireless phone devices on the SaskTel network are subject to a satisfactory credit check and applicable SaskTel Wireless Service Terms. (Only prize applicable to this is tablet)
Who May Enter
To be eligible entries must be received on or before on August 3, 2017 at 11:59PM Central Standard Time. This Contest is restricted to residents of Saskatchewan who have reached the age of 18, excluding employees of SaskTel, its affiliated companies, its parent corporation (collectively “SaskTel”), its advertising and promotional agencies and members of their respective immediate households and any person domiciled with any of the above.
Draws will be throughout the Contest period of June 21st – August 4th 2017 at SaskTel’s office located at 2121 Saskatchewan Drive, Regina, Saskatchewan.
Winners will be chosen at random by SaskTel. The selected entrants will be notified on the same social media platform they entered the Contest on which could be Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. The selected winner will be direct messaged within two business days of the draw. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within two business days, or if the selected entrant does not meet all of these Contest rules, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. To win, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone. By accepting the prize, the winner has confirmed his/her compliance with these Contest Rules and releases SaskTel and its directors, officers, and employees and advertising and promotional agencies from any and all liability arising out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of this Contest including liability arising from the acceptance of and usage of the prizes as awarded. Failure to comply with the Contest Rules will result in disqualification and another entry will be drawn. All entrants that are customers of SaskTel at the time of entry and/or at the time of prize award must have their SaskTel accounts in good standing (with a current account balance that is no more than 30 days past due) in order to be eligible to win the prize.
All entries become the property of SaskTel. SaskTel assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website, for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by SaskTel on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from this contest. SaskTel reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of SaskTel and its advertising and promotional agencies, corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest or for any other reason. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with or unlawful in any way. Entries submitted by unauthorized means or by spamming will be disqualified. In the event that it has been determined that an entry has been made in an manner not sanctioned by these rules and/or an entrant has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant and all of his/her entries will be disqualified. Entrants agree to abide by these Contest Rules and the decisions of SaskTel, which are final.
Each photograph that is entered into this Contest must meet ALL of the "Submission Requirements" set forth below to be considered (a photograph that meets all such requirements is referred to as a "Submission"): (i) The photograph must be the submitting entrant's original, previously unpublished work and not contain any third-party copyrighted or trademarked material (including without limitation, copyrighted images or footage); (ii) the submitting entrant should be able to provide on request all appropriate clearances, permissions and releases for the Submission, including releases from all persons appearing in the photograph, location releases for all recognizable locations, and releases from anyone who assisted in the creation of the photograph (in the event a submitting entrant cannot provide all required releases, SaskTel reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify the applicable Submission, or seek to secure the releases and clearances for SaskTel's benefit, or allow the applicable Submission to remain in the Contest); (iii) the photograph may not feature nudity or obscene language or material that is libelous or defamatory; (iv) the photograph must not contain any other material or image that is objectionable for any reason as determined by SaskTel. SaskTel reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Submission that violates the above criteria. Submissions must be received before the end of the Contest period, and SaskTel’s clock will be the official timekeeper for this Contest.
By entering your Submission in the Contest, you acknowledge and agree that SaskTel shall have a right to (a) exploit the Submission throughout the universe, in perpetuity, by means of any and all media and devices whether now known or hereafter devised for the promotion of the Contest; (b) edit, composite, morph, scan, duplicate, or alter, Submissions for the promotion of the Contest; and (c) edit, composite, morph, scan, duplicate, alter, merge and use Submissions as part of a Submission collage to be developed in conjunction with the Contest. Each entrant agrees SaskTel shall have no obligation (express or implied) to use any Submission, or to otherwise exploit any Submission or, if commenced, to continue the distribution or exploitation thereof.
By entering this Contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image for publicity purposes in all media used by SaskTel without payment or compensation, including without limitation, in publication of the names of the winners of the prizes in this Contest. By using the Hashtag in connection with your Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter post, you are acknowledging and agreeing that SaskTel has the right to stream your post on www.capture150.com
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Contest rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants or SaskTel in connection with the Contest or in connection with any Submission submitted in connection with the contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan. The invalidity or non enforcement of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their term as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained in these rules.
By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes the entrant may have with, or claims you may have against, SaskTel relating to, arising out of or connected in any way with (i) the Contest, and/or (ii) the awarding or redemption of any prize, and/or (iii) the exploitation or use of any Submission or other material submitted in connection with the Contest, will be resolved individually and exclusively by final and binding arbitration. The arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the SaskTel Arbitration Protocol as set out in the Terms of Service portion of SaskTel’s Non-Tariff Schedule from time to time found at sasktel.com. The arbitrator’s decision shall be controlled by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and such SaskTel Arbitration Protocol, and shall be final and binding.
Judgment upon the award of the arbitrator may be entered or enforced in any court of competent jurisdiction. If you do not agree to these requirements (or any other provision of these Contest Rules), do not participate in the Contest. If any part of this Arbitration provision is deemed to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the balance of this Arbitration provision shall remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with its terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
